Under Trinity Saioo’s leadership and guidance, Lakadong turmeric gained recognition not only in India but also internationally. Its high curcumin content—often ranging between 6.8 and 7.5 percent—made it one of the most sought-after turmeric varieties in the world. This significantly increased demand and improved economic opportunities for farmers in Meghalaya.
