India’s Two-Wheeler Sales Report for November 2025: Strong Growth Driven by Festive Momentum and Rural Demand
India’s two-wheeler industry delivered an exceptionally strong performance in November 2025, cementing its recovery momentum after a prolonged period of volatility during 2022–2024. The month delivered double-digit growth across leading OEMs, fuelled by festive demand spillover from October, a robust agricultural season, improving rural liquidity, and growing consumer confidence supported by recent GST rate cuts.
While October 2025 had already established a record for two-wheeler retail registrations, November continued the momentum, proving that the recovery in India’s mass mobility segment is not short-lived but part of a larger demand revival cycle. The standout performers remained Hero MotoCorp, Honda, TVS, Suzuki, and Bajaj, all of whom reported strong year-on-year growth.
In parallel, the electric two-wheeler market witnessed one of the strongest months of 2025, with more than 1.16 lakh units sold, making it the second-best month of the year. TVS Motor reclaimed the leadership position in the e-scooter space, while Hero VIDA overtook several competitors.
This comprehensive report covers OEM-wise performance, segment-wise growth, and the key demand drivers responsible for the surge in November 2025.
Hero MotoCorp: Leading the Charge with 604,490 Units (+31% YoY)
Hero MotoCorp posted one of its strongest monthly performances of the year. The company sold 604,490 units in November 2025, marking a 31% YoY growth compared to 459,805 units in November 2024.
Domestic sales accounted for nearly 570,520 units, driven heavily by rural and semi-urban demand for commuter motorcycles. The strong performance of the Splendor, HF Deluxe, Passion, Xpulse, and the new Xtreme models contributed to this surge. Hero’s exports improved moderately to 33,970 units, supported by stabilizing currency conditions in Latin America and Africa.
This growth indicates a visible turnaround in the commuter segment, which had remained subdued for much of 2022–2023 but is now witnessing renewed traction among entry-level buyers.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI): 591,136 Units (+25% YoY)
Honda reported a remarkable 25% YoY growth, selling 591,136 units in November 2025. Out of these, 533,645 units were domestic sales, while 57,491 units were exports.
Honda’s growth has been driven mainly by its scooter portfolio, particularly the Activa and Dio, which continue to dominate the urban scooter segment. The new Shine 100 and updated SP125 motorcycles have also pushed growth in rural markets. Honda’s export arm continued to remain robust, benefitting from strong demand in Southeast Asia and Africa.
HMSI’s consistent double-digit growth places it in fierce competition with Hero MotoCorp for monthly leadership, with the gap between the two companies narrowing significantly over 2025.
TVS Motor Company: 497,841 Units (+27% YoY)
TVS Motor delivered a strong performance, selling 497,841 two-wheelers, a 27% YoY increase over November 2024.
Domestic sales stood at 365,608 units, while export numbers surged significantly, supported by rising demand in Latin America, ASEAN, and Africa. The Apache series, Jupiter, and Raider continued to be key growth drivers.
However, the most notable achievement for TVS in November 2025 was in the electric segment. TVS sold 30,309 electric two-wheelers, regaining the top position in India’s e-scooter market with a 26% market share. Its flagship EV, the iQube, reinforced its reputation as the most stable and reliable electric scooter in India’s mass market.
Suzuki Motorcycle India: 122,300 Units (+30% YoY)
Suzuki continued its record-breaking streak with 122,300 units sold in November 2025, up 30% YoY. Domestic sales accounted for around 96,360 units, while exports formed the remainder.
The Access 125 and Burgman Street were the largest contributors to Suzuki’s growth. The brand’s relatively premium positioning and strong acceptance in urban markets helped maintain steady demand. Suzuki’s consistent double-digit growth over the past several months indicates that its strategy of focusing on fewer but high-volume products is paying off.
Bajaj Auto: 379,714 Units (+3% YoY)
Bajaj Auto recorded 379,714 units in two-wheeler sales, reflecting modest 3% YoY growth. Domestic sales saw a slight drop to 202,510 units, but exports compensated with 177,204 units (+8% YoY).
Bajaj continues to dominate the premium commuter and performance motorcycle segment through its Pulsar, N series, and KTM-Husqvarna portfolio. The company’s strength in exports contributes significantly to its stability, particularly during months when domestic demand fluctuates.
Electric Two-Wheeler Market: 116,849 Units Sold – Second Highest of 2025
The electric two-wheeler market delivered its second-best monthly performance of the year, with 116,849 units sold in November 2025.
Key highlights:
- TVS: 30,309 units (market leader, 26% market share)
- Bajaj: 25,527 units
- Ather Energy: 20,324 units
- Hero VIDA: significant rise, surpassing Ola Electric
- Ola Electric: Sharp decline in sales due to supply chain issues and production adjustments
The e-scooter market continues to stabilize after volatile quarters earlier in the year, as customers increasingly prefer reliable brands with strong after-sales service.
Why Two-Wheeler Sales Surged in November 2025
1. Festive and Wedding Season Demand
The spillover from the festive season in October played a major role. November also overlapped with a strong wedding season, historically associated with rural vehicle purchases.
2. GST Cuts Boosting Affordability
The recent GST reduction on commuter motorcycles and scooters directly enhanced buying sentiment, especially among first-time and replacement buyers.
3. Rural Income Revival
A good monsoon, rising agricultural output, and higher MSP payments increased disposable incomes in rural areas — the backbone of two-wheeler demand.
4. Expanding Export Markets
Manufacturers like TVS and Bajaj benefited from robust international demand, helping offset domestic fluctuations.
5. EV Market Stabilization
Electric scooters are no longer an experimental purchase but a mainstream mobility option, supported by wider charging ecosystems and improved product reliability.
Conclusion
November 2025 stands out as a defining month for India’s two-wheeler industry, showcasing strong and broad-based recovery across OEMs and segments. With rising consumer confidence, better financing availability, and continued policy support, the industry appears poised for sustained double-digit growth in the coming months. The electric two-wheeler space, in particular, has moved into a stable growth phase, driven by established OEMs like TVS and Bajaj.
If December continues the same trajectory, FY25-26 may become one of the strongest years for India’s two-wheeler industry in the past decade.
